Sandbox Medical - The Source For Gumdrop Pacifiers
Sandbox Medical is the exclusive source for GumDrop Pacifiers for parents and retail outlets. We sell the Hawaii Medical brand GumDrop - the exact same GumDrop used in Hospitals. Natus Medical purchased the Hawaii Medical product line in July 2, 2009. We retained the right to sell GumDrops to parents as Sandbox Medical, LLC. Please call or e-mail us if you have any questions.
About Our Founders
In 2002, Read McCarty and Eileen Gay founded Hawaii Medical, which was acquired by Natus Medical in July 2009. Shortly afterwards, Read and Eileen started Sandbox Medical to continue their passion for innovating medical products for kids. As an R & D company, Sandbox Medical is focused on new product development and product improvements for babies in the NICU and newborn nursery.

Read also was the founder and former CEO of Children's Medical Ventures, Inc. At Children's Medical Ventures, Read developed and introduced the Soothie® Pacifier. At Hawaii Medical, Read designed the GumDrop Pacifier to introduce the product improvements he knew were possible. Read dedicated both companies to improving the health care of children and making the practice of developmentally supportive, family centered care the standard of care in the NICU.
